carnations

Instructions

50 gold Pallas carnations
bowl (diameter: 11"; height: 5")
1/2 yard gold chiffon
2 blocks of floral foam
Carnations made a comeback. Neglected for decades they now are showcased in beautiful modern arrangements.
Place the floral foam into the bowl. The top of the foam has to be dome-shaped. Fill the bowl with water. Prepare all carnations by cutting the stems back to about 3". Also remove all the tiny leaves. Then place the carnations close together in the foam. Start from the outside. Once the bowl is filled with carnations, loosely drape the chiffon over half the arrangement.
